1. We respect your privacy 

Ocean to Stable (hereinafter in this policy referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”, “the company” or “Ocean to Stable”), recognises the importance of protecting the privacy and rights of individuals in relation to their Personal Information. This policy sets out how Ocean to Stable will handle the personal information that you may disclose to us when using an Ocean to Stable website (accessed from “www.oceantostable.com”, hereinafter in this policy referred to as “the Site”) or other Ocean to Stable services. This policy contains information on how Ocean to Stable uses, discloses and stores personal information.

1.4 Personal information” is information we hold which is identifiable as being about you.  This includes information such as your name, email address, or any other type of information that can reasonably identify an individual, either directly or indirectly.

2. What Personal Information is Collected

2.1 When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about  your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. 

2.2 We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information about an identifiable individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”. 

2.3 Device information

  1. Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimise our Site.
  2. Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.
  3. Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify.
  4. Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.

2.4 Order information

  1. Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfil our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
  2. Source of collection: collected from you.
  3. Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify and our shipping and fulfillment app.
  4. Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number.

2.5 Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

3. How we collect your personal information

3.1 We collect personal information from you in a variety of ways, including when you contact us with a question or enquiry, subscribe to our mailing list or when you access our website. 

3.2 We use ‘cookies’ on our website.  Cookies are an industry standard and most major websites use them. A cookie is a small text file that our website may place on your computer as a tool to remember your preferences. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. 

3.3 By providing us with personal information, you consent to the supply of that information subject to the terms of this privacy policy.

3.4 When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. 6.1 By using this site, you acknowledge that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or country of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

7. Hosting and International Data Transfers

7.1 Information that we collect may from time to time be stored, processed in or transferred between parties or sites located in countries outside of Australia.

7.2  Our office and facilities are located in Australia.  However, in the event that we open offices or facilities outside of Australia, any transfers to each of these countries will be protected by appropriate safeguards. 

7.3    You acknowledge that personal data that you submit for publication through our website or service may be available, via the internet, around the world.  We cannot prevent the use (or misuse) of such personal data by others.

7.4 Payment. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. 8. Security of your personal information

8.1 We are committed to ensuring that the information you provide to us is secure.  In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

8.2 The transmission and exchange of information is carried out at your own risk.  We cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us, or receive from us.  Although we take measures to safeguard against unauthorised disclosures of information, we cannot assure your that personal information that we collect will not be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this privacy policy.

9.2 We reserve the right to refuse to provide you with information that we hold about you, in certain circumstances set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or any other applicable law. 

10. Changes

10.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

10.2 If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
